1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to discussions.bsilearning.edu.au (the “Platform”). By accessing, browsing, or contributing to this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and the BSI Learning Student Handbook. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility and Access

Access to this Platform is restricted to: Currently enrolled students of BSI Learning. Authorised trainers, assessors, and administrative staff.

Your access is granted for the duration of your enrolment or employment. BSI Learning reserves the right to revoke access immediately upon your withdrawal, graduation, or termination of enrolment.

3. User Accounts and Security

Credentials:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details (Username and Password).
• You must not share your account access with anyone else.

Activity:

• You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Notification:

• You agree to notify BSI Learning Student Support immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Code of Conduct (Acceptable Use)

This Platform is a professional educational environment. When using the forum, you agree to adhere to the following standards:

4.1 Professional Respect

• Treat all facilitators and fellow students with courtesy and respect.
• Do not post content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory.
• Bullying or “trolling” will result in immediate suspension.

4.2 Academic Integrity

• Plagiarism: All work and posts submitted must be your own. If you reference external sources, you must cite them appropriately.
• Collusion: Do not share answers to assessments or quizzes in the open forum unless explicitly instructed to do so as part of a group activity.
• Cheating: Soliciting others to complete work on your behalf is strictly prohibited.

4.3 Content Restrictions

You must not post:

• Commercial advertisements or spam.
• Malicious code, viruses, or links to illegal content.
• Confidential information belonging to third parties.

5. Intellectual Property

 5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in the content (text, images, files) you create and post on the Platform (“User Content”). However, by posting, you grant BSI Learning a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and adapt your User Content for the purposes of:

• Educational delivery and assessment.
• Quality assurance and auditing (e.g., by ASQA).

5.2 BSI Learning Content

All course materials, logos, branding, and platform design elements remain the exclusive property of BSI Learning. You may not copy, distribute, or modify these materials without written permission.

6.Moderation and Enforcement

BSI Learning reserves the right (but is not obliged) to monitor all discussion threads. We have the absolute right to:

• Remove, edit, or move any post that violates these Terms or is deemed irrelevant.
• Suspend or permanently ban a user’s account for serious or repeated breaches of the Code of Conduct.
• Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

“As Is” Basis: The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

Educational Advice: Comments made by other students in the forum do not constitute professional advice. Always rely on materials provided directly by your Trainer/Assessor.

Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, BSI Learning is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

8.Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to external websites posted by users or staff. BSI Learning does not endorse and is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law or our operations. We will notify you of significant changes via a platform announcement or email. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

• Educational Delivery: To provide access to course materials and facilitate peer-to-peer learning.
• Assessment: To mark your participation and assess competency as required by your specific VET qualification unit requirements.
